The ABLE Team consists of clubs across the globe, led by amazing teachers, students, and other professionals
Anna Wilson is the project manager for ABLE at Southern University A&M and College. She received her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Louisiana State University, master's degree in biology from Soutehrn University A&M and College, and doctoral degree in science and mathematics from Southern University A&M and College. She currently teaches Anatpmy and Physiology in the biologcal sciences department at Southern University A&M and College.
Ateamate Mukabana coodinates ABLE sites in Kenya. She has a bachelors degree in Mathematics (Statistics) from Pwani University, Kenya. She is currently a Research Assistant at Innovations for Development in Education and Mathematical Sciences (INNODEMS).
Danielle Espino is a Co-Principal Investigator for the ABLE Project. She received her bachelor's degree (in history) from the College of William and Mary, master's degree (in educational leadership and policy studies) from Virginia Tech, and doctorate from Pepperdine University. Originally from Virginia, Danielle loves to give food and travel advice for any city in the U.S.
Dante Schulz provides the ABLE team with research and logistical support. He graduated from the George Washington University with a degree in international affairs and history. He currently works in foreign policy analysis in Washington DC. Originally from New York, Dante enjoys documentary making and film production.
Eric Hamilton is the Jan & Robert Davidson Endowed Professor of Education and Technology at Pepperdine University and Principal Investigator for the ABLE Project. He teaches in the university’s organizational leadership and mathematics courses. He currently leads education and learning technology research projects supported by the US National Science Foundation. His wife Kristy is a licensed social worker and hospice worker. He is an avid Audible books fan, and loves history and literature. They have four adult children and live on Pepperdine’s Malibu Campus.
Julia Savoca Gibson produces video content for the ABLE team and supports research efforts. She graduated from William & Mary, having doubled majored in History and Film & Media Studies. Currently, she works at American University. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Julia enjoys birdwatching and reading.
Kristina Lux is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Pepperdine University. She received her BS in Business from Cal Poly, MEd in Education from John Carroll, MA in Psychology from Pepperdine, and most recently PhD from Pepperdine. Kristina has been an educator for over 20 years and is passionate about bringing about economic stability through educational trade programs in East Africa.
Leah-Maria Gaskin is a graduate assistant at Southern University A&M College, participating in global meet-up discussions, working with transcriptions, and gathering technology information. Leah is studying Computer Science, branching into Science and Math education. She enjoys creating art and learning music.
Lu Liang is a doctoral student at Pepperdine University, concurrently assisting the ABLE research team with global meet-ups, transcriptions, and collaborative projects. Lu received her MBA degree from the University of California, Riverside. Originally from China, she has an extensive background in teaching in international programs and a profound passion for working with students and educators worldwide.
Myron Fletcher is a current doctoral student at Pepperdine University. He received two bachelor’s degrees in aerospace engineering and physics from Tuskegee University and a master’s in engineering management from Duke University. Originally from Arkansas, Myron is a rocket scientist that has sent space vehicles beyond the moon.
Nastassia Jones is a Professor of Science and Mathematics Education at Southern University and A&M College and a Co-Principal Investigator for the ABLE Project. She received her bachelor's degree from Albany State University. From there she received a master's of science and then doctorate from Southern Illinois University. Her graduate research focused on the biological and chemical importance of bacteria in cleaning up contaminated soil and ground water environments, as well as understanding the teaching and learning of microbiology within K-12 life science experiences.
Seung Bok Lee is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University and a Co-Principal Investigator for the ABLE Project. He received his bachelor's degree (in Mechanical Engineering) from U.C. Berkeley, master's degree (in International Affairs) from Columbia University, and doctorate from Pepperdine University. Originally from Seoul, Korea, Seung Bok spent two years in rural Nepal as a math and English teacher in the Peace Corps.
Tianshi Hao, a recent Ph.D. graduate from Graduate School of Educaiton and Technology, Pepperdine University. Is currently serving as technical support for ABLE community website.
